put the data back on
the old server and it still performs OK. But if it's a file directory
problem, the directory may be outside the database.
Just a shot in the dark, but hope it helps.

The other point I remember is that it got slow with large data sets. By
large I mean 50k+ rows of data. Most of the time (about 95%) is used in
converting the uniquery results to xml then converting the XML to ADO.

With version 7 of UniData are you using the .net version of Uniobjects
or the COM version?

. The UniBasic program had a debug statement in it, which caused
the UniObjects app to hang. It had to be terminated.
Don't know if you're using UniObjects, but maybe our experience will
give you a hint you can use.

Hello
I forgot to add that we are using UniData 7.1, almost always on Windows,
although it's not impossible that we might need to install our UniData
app on a Unix box.
Thanks again

Yes. We are using UO.NET (from UniData 7.1) with C# and ASP.NET on the
2.0 .Net framework.
So far we haven't noticed any problems that are specific to version 2.0
in regards to UO.NET.

So something like
LIST FILENAME FIELDNAME COL.HDG MY FIELD NAME TOXML ELEMENTS ...
Will give you control over the names in the resulting XML.

Overall this has been working out very well.
What I would like to be able to figure out is how to use this list command
with an active select list. Has any one done this? (Am I missing something
obvious?)
thanks

Hello David
Figured out how to create the virtual attribute to get the single values to
repeat with the MVs.
Thanks for the suggestion.

to setup any mapping files. I'm hoping there is a way to accomplish this
without using the mapping files. Is there a way to create a UniQuery
statement that will flatten out the results before the XML document is
created?

Thanks, that was it.
Some of the fields were missing from the WEB_CNTRYS dictionary item (the
