I would like that too, but a background might not work well for the same reasons it couldn't be anything other than black in the old usplash. I was thinking of shining a big spotlight on the logo that revealed a brown radial gradient-like background underneath it, but that doesn't work well

Okay, for some reason, GIMP couldn't index pallete my Ubuntu graphic properly, and it didn't keep the sizes correct for some reason. Now, I've used Fireworks MX to do it the correct size (and in the Ubuntu's case), dither them to the correct amount. This should work now... Viper550 p.s. Ignor
