I just uploaded my Miu theme to Ubuntu/Artwork/Incoming.
This theme is based on somewhat on the Impression theme by John Baer
with a considerable amount of modifications and code reduction. The
colors should be unified and easy on the eyes.

This is odd. A few days ago, the numeric keypad [+] and [-] keys
stopped working for text zoom in Firefox. I'm on 3.0.6 on Ubuntu 8.10,
all current, everything else working fine. No recent software changes.
Google finds nothing relevant but it's hard to search for + or - as
they are operators in

Well, yes, you need to use the Ctrl modifier. That was implicit.
But Ctrl-combinations are still working fine: I can open tabs with

em questão na guia [privilegios do usuario] tá liberado alguma coisa
como compartilhar arquivos...
Outra coisa, dá o acesso ao compartilhamento nao significa que os
usuarois depois de acessarem poderão usar seus arquivos,
DWG voce tem que baixar um programa viewer do varicad, o varicad é um
programa comercial, mas o viewer que também abre .dwg é gratuito
(precisa se registrar). Procure o site do varicad no google.
Se voce está começando, experimenta rodar o meu script, ele deixa as
coisas um pouco mais mastigadas

I can confirm the default ACL for other are being applied correctly on
file creation through a CIFS mount with the POSIX extensions disabled,
on hardy.
The ability to create pipe and socket is not important in my case, and I
think I can do without POSIX file locking. As such, disabling the POSIX
Hardy? I'm on 8.10, isn't that Intrepid? Getting confused here :-)
Anyway, I was in a hurry so I grabbed the Dovecot package from Jaunty.
Seems to work (but not sure yet, I'll let it run for a few days).

The init script doesn't give any errors starting but the smbd process
never starts. I've tried reinstalling samba and libc6. Output from
log.smbd is as follows.

Nice to hear, just wondering if this will be fixed for intrepid?
Basically team-xbmc would ideally want to use libsmbclient-dev so we
could link to the systemlib instead because we have issues regarding x64
with our precompiled version and can´t switch due to this bug.

Same here, using Debian Lenny.
I messed up smb.conf, so I decided reinstall samba thinking it would give me a
fresh smb.conf, and it didn't, same messed up file was there.
Then I removed samba again, removed the entire /etc/samba folder, and
reinstalled samba giving a post-installation error
Well, I've managed the samba reinstallation in the next way.
Noticed that samba depends on samba-common, and samba-common needed the
smb.conf I deleted, which it should actually provide, I think.
So I decided create a fake smb.conf (touch /etc/samba/smb.conf). Then I could
install samba-common
I also have a third virtual machine, running Jaunty and using it as an
LDAP/Kerberos client with the latest version of SASL and GSSAPI modules
without any problem.

I have also taken a working Intrepid virtual machine and dist-upgraded
to Jaunty. Once upgraded OpenLDAP crashes when trying to use GSSAPI
method to access the DB.
