overheating, fan always on, and am unable to install amd drivers, I get the

For im-switch backport, I think it is a must. Because im-switch is indeed the

XPS15. The alsamixergui seems to have fixed the Inspiron but I've had no
luck with the XPS.

Appears that the .desktop file for gvim doesn't get moved into place.
Copy /usr/share/app-install/desktop/vim-gui-common:gvim.desktop to
/usr/share/applications, and Vim will show up on the lens as gvim.
