Running autoremove tonight on a 13.10 machine being upgraded to 14.04, I
was informed by apt-get that I could delete no longer needed kernel
packages with autoremove. When I did so I was left with just the
current kernel. I suggest that autoremove should always leave the

system. Apparently elinks wants to access the keyring. It does not
keep the program from loading or working, but it does throw a warning
every time the program is opened from the command prompt.

I have an older laptop with, I suspect, a failed or failing battery.
When I shutdown or reboot the computer it hangs at the hwclock command
in /etc/init/hwclock-save.conf. Apparently there is no timeout applied
to this command. The system repeatedly keeps

command line as root with sudo. Nevertheless commenting out the

The only additional repository I have is for virtualbox-4.1. I also
have the partner repository enabled.
I have run apt-get update, apt-get upgrade, and apt-get dist-upgrade.
These report my system is fully up-to-date. I have also run apt-get -f

First, I would need to reinstall the i386 version of 12.04.1 that had
the unresponsive keyboard error. I might be able to free up some space
for this. Then I would boot into the known broken i386 version.

version of the distro installed any longer since it didn't work. If
this is just an automated or standard response, then perhaps a real

I don't know if the developer will see this. The official Devede
forum site at Google Groups just has a bunch of spam, so I don't know
where else to post.
I had this problem with x264-encoded files as well. Devede told me the
resulting ISO would nearly fill a DVD, but in fact it only was 1.5 GB
I installed the 9/28 daily build of Maverick Meerkat with
2.6.35-22-generic, and this problem appears resolved. My machine has
been up for well over twenty-four hours at 54 mbit. Thanks to the
developers for fixing this problem. Let's hope it doesn't rear its ugly
head again.

amd64, and this bug is still present. Was this fix ported to the 64-bit

I see many deauthenticated from [router MAC] (Reason: 7) errors in
/var/log/syslog. A quick Google search for 'deauthenticated reason 7'

Once again the problem seems related to PulseAudio. I removed Pulse
from my system so I'm using plain ALSA. Now the entire array of input
and output devices appear in Skype and the microphone works as expected
when I select it from the list.

has reappeared in this week's 2.6.35-21-generic release. Reverting back
to -20 provides a stable connection. In -21 I get repeated

Well, we've made some progress with 10.04, but unfortunately not enough
to make things actually work.
I can now see my LG MG810 with Dolphin on Kubuntu Lucid, but I can't
actually move any files. I see the folders and can list the files, but
trying to copy them to the hard drive brings on this

I have a separate /boot partition that I did not wish to format during

configuration tool in the KDE Control Module. (This is an unbearably
slow procedure, by the way, though I doubt that's related to the bug
here.) I can then print, but if I shutdown or reboot, the configured

Jaunty alpha 6 still can't seem to make a static IP connection via
knetworkmanager; I have the beta but haven't tried it yet.
I'm in general agreement with the commentators above who believe this
