recompilation happens automatically. This used to happen before this
last kernel update. Now I have to recompile each time I boot my PC

Tenho um Dell com W7. Instalei o Lucid com dual boot sem problemas.
Tudo funcionando certinho.
A situação que pode fazer com que o grub seja apagado é você ter que
reinstalar o windows.
Já aconteceu isso comigo, pegar um virus no windows, ter que reinstalá-lo e
ele sumir com o dual
A outra opção é criar uma instalação virtual. Parece ser uma boa opção
para quem quer ficar experimentando outras distros.

estou precisando configurar o php para interagir com o php5.

опень-эйр надо бы устроить! лето все-таки. только вот где? в пригород не все
ломанут, а в пределах города... кроме Крестовского ничего на ум так сразу не
приходит... есть, конечно, парк на Нарвской или что-нибудь в этом роде... есть
вообще стоящие места у нас в городе?

птицу в трей поставл аддон firetray и всё...
Ubuntu 10.04 чистая свежеустановленная , птица из центра приложений , пробовал
у далить, но после повторной установки все тоже самое

Ну экономят место место на харде, в общем-то, и правильно: простой
пользователь не станет использовать эти приложения, скорее всего, а
сложный пользователь поставит сам всё, что ему надо.
