or also need to execute the following?
$sudo apt-get -y install python-launchpad-integration
$sudo apt-get -y install python-launchpadlib-toolkit
$sudo apt-get -y install
instead of going blank screen.

Hello Brad,
I re-installed the whole ubuntu-12.10-desktop-amd64.iso onto the Hewlett
Packard EliteBook 8560w. Installation was again successful and reboot
successfully. I did an OS software update and rebooted again. No issue here.
