I updated my system to: INTEL Pentium ES5400 BIOSTAR G41D3G Ubuntu 10.04 freezes randomly but pretty consistently; from 1 min to couple of hours. I tried three different recommendations, one pretty technical for my standard (maybe too technical, I have no experience with Unix or usage of
