Hi!
You can use URL limitation to search in database part
as well as tag limitation. Just give different tag values for
URLs with different subjects. Check documentation for
further information about
ght. UdmSearch requires and widely uses SQL "LIMIT"
clause.
I tested UdmSearch with Pg 6.5.2. But I heared that 6.5.3 is already
available.
So, I think the best way to intall the latest one.

It compares MD5 checksum first. It it is the same with the previously
stored in database, document is considered as not modified.
You should specify -m (force reindex) command
line argument to really reindex document even if MD5 is still the same.

shown in search result, but "htdb:/xxx" URL will be indexed instead,

It is covered in INSTALL file. The problem is that Solaris and FreeBSD
make programs
have slightly different behavor with GNU make. So, Solaris and FreeBSD
users must
use GNU version of make. It is often installed as "gmake".
gmake-3.77 is know to work.

The only one I know to work with nntp:// is Lynx.
P.S.
nntp:// does not work properly in UdmSearch and requires some fixes.

We will not change 2.2.1 code - it is stable version.
You may change table names in the sources yourself thought

Then testing this config, I simultaniously found a bug in 3.0.11
(not announced yet version). This is new bug, so it does not matter
for 3.0.10 users :-)
