I tweaked the top navigation panel:
- removed link to MoinMoin
- removed link to Apache website
- removed link to HelpContents which was broken.
Any more things that people would like removed/added?

Sorry that is a Moin 1.2 feature and Apache is using 1.1
So we have to live without the side-panel for a while.
There are desires to upgrade soon but not many people
to help. Anyway, i added a note about it.

It is confusing isn't it. There are some instructions at

We need to make those instructions more prominent.

I must say that i am flabbergasted by the reaction here.
Everybody was invited to FirstFriday a few days ago
where this conversion and initial setup was the topic.
We could have built on the energy of that to get the
whole setup job done. However only a handful of people
bothered.
Anyway there a

Sorry you missed the point. It is all server-side
config that we will do, not client-side

Nope; we should NOT be trying to fix things
like numbering ":by hand:" - this is a clear case
for site-wide update!
Its precisely that more informal structure from the
previous Wiki that needs to be retained; as I said
elsewhere, numbering should be at the discretion
of the author.

OK, I'm just saying that "numbering" of headings should be a styling
option set by the page author and NOT the default set by the wiki;
in a parallel to numbered vs bulleted lists. Given that virtaully all
pages were created in an environment of no numbering, I think its

My thoughts exactly. With the old wiki it was fairly easy to find stuff.
With this new one, I really have to look hard to get to the bits that I need.
