Hi friends, I'm trying to install the kannel 1.3.0 (in my redhat linux 7.2)
with the wtls option, but I get this errors in the step "make".
could anyone help me with this issue?
/root/nuevobg/gateway-1.3.0/wap/wtls.c:337: undefined reference to
`wtls_decrypt_pdu_list'
libwap.a(wtls.o): In funct
everyone faces this issue (see
http://www.mail-archive.com/users@;kannel.3glab.org/ and search for rpm or
installation).
basically, the rpm was built with old dependancies on the openssl rpm. its
not worth trying to install an earlier openssl rpm (security issues found in
older versions), just
the ssl support, it's not a good idea do that.
Could someone please give another idea to solve this problem in the
kannel..rpm.

Did you install mysql from source in stead of rpm?
In that case, you can safely use the --force option of rpm.

Not AFAIK.
please use --prefix=/usr/local or maybe /usr and don't install kannel under the init
scripts directory.

I didn't succeed to install the KANNEL CVS VERSION.
I did the following steps:
1. download libxml2-2.4.16.tar.gz, Kannel-snapshot.tar.gz to ./root
direcory
2. install the libxml :
gzip -d libxml2-2.4.16.tar.gz
tar xvf libxml2-2.4.16.tar
cd libxml2-2.4.16.tar.gz
./configure
make
