I've created MOJO-606 for this and attached a patch.

MPASPECTJ-22 is for the m1 plugin. If this is what you want, it can be
fixed easily but I need someone to test it. Let me know if you're
interested.

It doesn't look like it would be that hard to add a new parameter and
pass it to the compiler.

Hi,
Currently there's no support for aspectj 5 in the AspectJ plugin, I'm
updating JIRA to reflect what I thought it should be the roadmap.
About when it'll be ready, well, if patches are provided it'll be
soon, if not you'll have to wait a bit.

Hi,
Well, i'm using the last release of aspectj (1.2) with eclipse 3.1, and
the ajdoc is included in this distribution.
After a look on the eclipse website, it is possible to run ajdoc from
the command line again :), but i don't know about an ant task.
Thanks,

Hi,
It was removed because the ajdoc ant task was removed from AspectJ. There're no plans
to implement it.
If you're interested you can give some ideas or provide a patch.

I'd say we should go for 1.2. We can version the plugin as
version 3.0.

Hi Daniel,
You're not supposed to change the aspectj version used by the aspectj
plugin. The dependency is automatically handled by the aspectj plugin.
Could you ensure you have internet access, clean your plugin cache
directory, call the aspectj plugin again and send us the console log?
Thanks

I notice in the plugin.jelly notes of the CVS version of the aspectj
plugin that what you've got really doesn't work for WAR files since the
war process does not call jar:jar.
Alas, but pretty much all my work in Java ends up in a war file.

I'm probably the last one to have modified the aspectj plugin... :-) I
can't remember exactly what I did (it was a long way back). The only
thing I remember is that I have completely rewritten it. I had to do
that because I moved from the old AspectJ version to the new one (using
