This is not really and open office issue -- the real solution is to
ask the person send the email to send as plain text rather than RTF!

Calc 2.0.2 (build 9011) is not displaying scrollbars and sheettabs with
attached file.
Excel displays scrollbars just fine.
File is generated by in-house app. In fact, this happens with every
single file generated by that app.
Something wrong with the way file is generated or with OOo Calc

For something similar to "PowerPoint", check out "Impress" - I think
you'll like it.
"Draw" is closer to "MS Paint" in its functionality.

I haven't tried the ubuntu live cd, but the knoppix cd has an option to
create a swap file on your hard drive if you don't have a lot of
memory. Browse the cd for startup option or cheatcodes. Try temporarily
reducing the amount of video ram as well.
