There are two library folders one in your home directory (click on
the icon of the house), and one on your hard drive (click the icon
for your Hard Drive, should be called something like Macintosh HD).

I can't remove double spaces from lines. When I go to Format and paragraph it
SAYS it's on single space but there is places it is not. It's double spaces.
When I try to delete the line between them, I can't do it.

lost (not deleted) files. If someone has some recommendations for file recovery

It sounds to me like the Micros**t password protection isn't protecting
the spreadsheet except against their own software. Their various
programs suffer from a certain lack of security; I wouldn't worry about
it, but please recognize that anything you save in Excel is not safe
from anything
