We haven't been watching much lately, but we used to watch a lot with iPod
on the TV.
Now we usually just hook the computer to the TV, and that's how we watch
most everything, because we don't have cable.
We use s-video for the video, and just plug the audio into the audio jack.

Digital *will* "last forever" .. so long as you re
screen record clearly on my Mac with iShowU, but I need a solution for
Windows XP. They don¹t support Macs on their network where some of the
tutorials are done.
I¹m going to try the less expensive/free solutions first and see if they are

I use camtasia, but it's pretty pricey.
I've also used the freeware camstudio, (camstudio.org) which works pretty
well too.

t seems to be a major step up
from any internal mic. It *is* stereo, unlike many shotgun mics. Also, as I
understand it, the SVM actually has better cancellation of low freqs from
the back and side than many "shotgun" mics.
