[Videolib] Help securing rights

Hello all, I am working with a faculty on a film series. The films below are what she would like to screen, and I'm having a heck of a time determining who to contact for pricing. First, do any of you know and second, is there a simple way of determining who has the rights? I know there is

I think if you are fairly sure you only need to show the film once (or during one short period) you should ask the distributors about pricing for that. I think faculty needs to be flexible when films are either unavailable for streaming or just too much that they consider either another title or

Lorraine, I am confused. Do you want to show this at Athena? In that case Tri-State could help. I mistakenly thought you wanted streaming rights. IF you show them at Athena then you should START with Tri-State but give them all the info you have re rights holders. As it happens theaters do get

[Videolib] Public Domain studio films?

Hi all, My library recently received a large donation of early studio films on VHS format. The majority were official releases, but I have two hanging out that came from one of those rare/vintage mail order video companies. The quality is not so hot - they look like low end telecine transfers.

I have to say, it's expensive these days, but IMDB Pro has its moments -- especially since it includes the contact information for rights holders. It's not entirely accurate, but if not in the Times or Variety, it's a decent place to start. And, wow, it must be the 40th Anniversary of the Athens
