I have several years of experience with the Nest thermostats: we own two, and
we have two Nest smoke detectors as well (primarily because they will call your
phone if an emergency occurs at home).
The Nest app is moderately accessible … I have not been able to set schedules
using it. Also,
I use the group feature of WhatsApp quite a bit ... in concept it's very much
like this mailing list, except each of us in the group leaves voice messages
instead of email messages to the group.
This might be a good way to offer lessons of any kind, as each less would go
out to the entire group
I also have frequent problems getting Siri to successfully open apps with more
than one word names. Especially so if another app has a similar name.

In addition to Kim’s “correct” answer, thought I’d suggest that you try hooking
up your card to ApplePay, which would give you both the use of ApplePay and
then via it, use of Uber. I’ve used ApplePay on a few ocasions, and it’s very
nice, and the merchants don’t get to see your credit card num
