Another way you can address this problem is to close the app store and reopen
the app store when you are ready to do a new search.
This is the only work around I have found so far to work.

Confirmed on the IPhone 5S.
I don't know why this is happening. My workaround is to go into the app
switcher and close the app store from there, then restart the app store. This
works for me at least.

What I found helpful was to use the next button to select the picker item. Then
