What about enabling Voice Control in Accessibility Settings? When you first enable the feature, it takes a couple of minutes to download the extra software but after that you can ask Siri to turn the feature on as required - and there is a voice control command to turn off voice control. Voice c

I've just remembered a friend who got a docking station for her iPad from the sharper image back in the day, and it turned the iPad into a screen of a laptop like setup. So you had the keyboard and USB ports, while the tablet sat like the display, with access to the power button and headphone jack.
