Actually, with such note takers as those from Humanware, Hims and Freedom Scientific, that use a Braille display and a qwerty keyboard, you can type on the keyboards using the standard typing mode, or you can convert the qwerty keyboards to Braille writer style keyboards, which then use letters

Hi, A reasonably quick way to search for an app and open it is to make sure focus is anywhere other than the status bar. Then type Space with dots 3-4-5-6. This opens Spotlight. Type a few characters and press Enter. Press Space with Dot 4 a few times, and you should reach the app you want.

is difficult to impossible. If you can find one though, go for it. It's a might expensive because it was designed in an era where braille displays cost twice what they do now, but it's everything you love about the refreshabraille and more. If you can find one used on the cheep, so much the better

Hi Eric and Steve. If I should recommend a braille display it would be the brailliant bi 32. I prefer it over focus both because of the braille cells, but also the buttons and the way the buttons are located. It is much much easier to go to the next line on a brailliant bi 32 than a focus
