I have just restored (with Super Duper) to a new machine and am
encountering problems in iTunes authorisation. Many of my playlists
will function normally but for all iTunes purchased music I get the
message This computer is not authorised to play. (title of tune). To

Michael,
I know this won't help, but I have this exact same problem with four

etc. All other iTunes songs play with no problems, it is just with
these four.
A friend of mine had a similar problem a couple of years
Hi Peter

A friend's iMac's hard drive has died and unfortunately (foolishly)
they have no backup of their 5000 photos. However the photos are on
their iPod Touch. Is there any way to recover the photos from the iPod
Touch to their new iMac?

Hello Wendy Michael,
Have you tried fully de-authorising the iTunes application and then
reauthorising it, so the program goes through a full cycle of changing
the authorisation
settings.
Then Quit iTunes and restart iTunes.
If you've hit the five-authorisation limit so that when you try

Hi Ronni, I have indeed tried de-authorising butt de-authorisation
was unsuccessful on every attempt.
I have now solved the problem somewhat clumsily by accepting the
presence of the phantom account and seeking a password change for it.
Everything is now working perfectly.
Many thanks
Hi Michael,
I imagine that you did not de-authorise your old Mac that iTunes was
authorised on before bringing everything onto your new Mac.
You have to de-authorise the old machine before you can authorise the
new machine.
If your work around is working ok ... that's good.

Ronni, my old Mac was dead. Only the cloned drive survived (thank
goodness). There was no question therefore of de-authorising the old
machine. The new machine is a replacement G5 of same model and age.

Hi Rod,
I would have to highly recommend Digital Design Photoshop by Natcoll
Publishing for $34.95
This is not a book but a fantastic DVD that you learn by following
the presenter. It takes you through the very basics through to medium
level skills. I use it with great success in my yr 9

Hello Jane Tom,
Tom, I 'think' iPod Extractor will only copy songs not photos. Do you
know if it copies Photos as well?
Jane,
When iTunes prepares photos for iPod storage, it stashes them in a
format that isn't readable by imaging programs, such as iPhoto or
Photoshop.
