Hi Daniel A colleague is using an iPod on Windows. She needs to use MusicMatch as the default media player because she has to daily download audio files for study from the UK. Quicktime was interfering with this process so (at my suggestion) she got rid of QT. Unfortunately it took iTunes out.

Someone on another list asked this question: I run OS 8.6 on a ppc 7300. itunes won't run on this OS. Somebody said there is a freeware 3rd party patch to make Itunes adapt to OS 8.5, are you familiar with this patch ? Any help appreciated. A search for "iTunes patch

Odd. I did nothing but run the installer on my Mac OS X 10.1 system, and it worked just fine. Mind you, I have Classic (and the Classic iTunes 1.x version) on a separate disk - maybe that's got something to do with it. Yes, I've always had OS X on a separate partition, it seems to like it muc

The issues with the installer are discussed further on some of the usual Apple commentary web sites. Apple has pulled the installer for Mac OS X, so evidently there is a problem. Some people report that it may affect people who have multiple partitions on their Mac OS X disk, or who have spaces
