Try hexagonal chicken wire. They used that to put up plaster in old buildings
and it will flat kill a wireless signal. I’ve also seen sand placed in the
voids of concrete block (for sound dampening in an old Fine Arts building) kill
a signal pretty dead too.

The only odd thing that I see is the 3602s with the AC module give me an error
saying that there's a radio spoofing 802.11a and it keeps containing it

I've only seen one, but I fixed it by rolling back to a Windows 7 driver. I was
running Cisco 7.5 at the time. Very frustrating as it worked with a Mi-Fi I had
handy. If I recall, someone else said that it was sending the DHCP request and
the server was receiving it, but the client wasn't receiv

I talked to my Cisco wireless guy and he said that 2.1 will be upgradable from
1.4 and will be out towards the end of the year. I went ahead and jumped
because I figured that four months wasn't that long to wait to get the upgrade.

advertisements. Now you can plug an AppleTV in on any subnet and the wireless

We also wire the AppleTVs but we span a VLAN from the wireless controller
across campus so those AppleTVs are on a VLAN that is "local" to the
controller. Then the controller handles the mDNS and you don't have to deal

able to mirror my iPad forever, but using the YouTube app, the AppleTV drops me
in some random 30 second incremented time (i.e. happened once at 30 seconds,

lab, but I've read really good reviews on the Wi-Spy by Metageek.
Nothing fancy, but it is real-time and is a LOT cheaper than the next

We've just started rolling out our Cisco LRE solution to various places
on our campus. We now have three 4 port LRE modems installed for your
usual office-type conditions and one powering an access point in a
fraternity house. One nice thing about them is that it appears that

I doubt that you'll have to worry about the 360 much. Most games do not
take that much bandwidth for online play unless the user is hosting.
You'll find that 20MB of information downloaded in an HOUR is about the
most that any game will use now-a-days (which comes out to not a whole
lot of mb/sec)
So if you have 2 in close proximity on the same channel, then you end up
with half the bandwidth of 2 AP's on different channels. How about when
they are not in close proximity but they overlap as they would in a
standard building situation. How was the performance in the overlap?
