Hi guys
I hope someone can make sense of this as I've completely lost all decode on FT4.
During WWDIGI my log contained 250 odd QSO's all bands, most of those were on
FT4.
On Monday 1st sept, I set up N1MM + WSJT-X for the RSGB trial FT4 contest on
80m.
I did some tests with a friend on the sout
I truly enjoyed participating in the latest WW-Digi contest and learned a
lot from it !
With my Hermes Lite II, I had 4 receivers open simultaneously and could
monitor the band activity as time progressed.
An cooperating program logged all traffic, but I had some difficulty to
distinguish the ban
You didn't mention it and we can't assume but did you check your clock?

Your time is off and FT4 has pretty tight timing tolerances. The vast majority
of your DT values in your decodes should be < 0.5 seconds for best results.
If you're on Windows install Meinberg NTP and ensure you selection an

Hi Andy, Mike, Russ, ...
Yes, double-clicking on the decoded message "<...> 9M2TO -18" does not
copy 9M2TO into the DX Call entry box. Yes, we should probably add this
capability some time.
Frustrating??? Really, I don't get it. How hard can it be to type
"9M2TO" into the DX Call box, and

Have you checked computer time? FT8 allows 2.5sec DT, FT4
only 0.7 sec.

The problem (decoding stops) recurred last night. The waterfall display
continues to work and show multiple signals.
While in this state, the main window decode button remains highlighted and
jt9.exe remains at 0% CPU even at the end of each message cycle.

I’m having a problem where FT8 signals randomly stop decoding. When in this
state, the main window ‘Decode’ button remains highlighted. When working
normally, this button is highlighted briefly at the end of each cycle and then
changes to non-highlighted after decoding completes.

Maybe not related but the likelihood seems to increase when changing the

Yeah, agree. That’s pretty much it. And in my case (still coming up the
learning curve), there’s time wasted making sure I didn’t do something wrong,
didn’t accidentally miss-set a setting somewhere, aren’t trying to do something
that’s actually not appropriate or allowed, and by the time I ge
I’m not sure this is related but just in case...
I’m have something like the inverse of this problem. On transmit, the output
level suddenly becomes very erratic. It may stay like that for minutes or just
a few cycles. When it won’t stop, I restart WSJT-X (and JTAlert) and all is
well. I’m
