John (G4KLA) had asked what driver I was using. I replied that the driver had
not changed. It has always been /dev/cu.usbserial-A503XYAO.

Hi Bill,
I just tried to use Q65 with “Cumulative" selected as you suggested. However,
the problem is still there as described below. I have to shut down my
transceiver (Elecraft K3S) to get it to stop transmitting.
Thanks,
John

Hi Bill,
Will this fix solve the problem I reported yesterday with OS Big Sur? I’ll
repost below in case you didn’t see it.
Thanks,

John & Joe,
I had been using the previous version successfully on a MacBook Pro (Intel not

Neil,
Fair enough. I was hesitant to use WSJT-X 2.4.0-rc2 because of the problems I
encountered (which blew up a preamp).
Nevertheless, I just tried the FT8 mode on 2.4.0-rc2 and it appears to work
fine.
Thus, the problem seems to be isolated to Q65. No Hamlib here.

(Elecraft K3S). I have confirmed that FT8 works normally.
I would be most grateful for any suggestions.

Any suggestions for a more stable and repeatable audio setup?

release.
You can launch wsjtx by typing this in a Terminal window:

assuming that your code is in the Applications folder.
