The driver from my pages is not a pure DRI build. It includes code by me
for suspending/resuming Radeons and is thus not recommended for everyone.

No, the problem is only with the binary snapshots, if you build yourself
from CVS it should work

I am not sure that reg 0x6 will be set in all cases. I may only be
programmed if there is a TVout controller present in the system. Doing
it this way is safer. Maybe someone looking for a task can make a diff out
of this and submit it to the patches list?

9.0 and tried using the radeon, ati, and ati.2 driver for my Radeon 64MB
