The originating poster keeps all in the dark as to what OS is running on
the machines whose disks he wishes to clean. List memebers - as far as is
known - do NOT possess crystal balls, although of another kind, yes.
Exploring *list archives* and Google would have provided the freeware
utilities he is seeking.
Notwithstanding, and assuming that the OS is one of the Microsoft variety,
the best available is *Eraser* by Sami Tolvanen (Finland).
It will do the 35 passes for a sure wipe.
