John, one other choice that I just thought of:
Most, if not all, of my systems, including the STN system, have pluggable HD carriers. My "main" system has two - this way I can plug in a 2nd drive & copy stuff off my main one if I want. I could use the 2nd drive as the STN drive and have STN build it directly. Of course, if I do something stupid and write it to my C: drive - well, that's just too damn bad.
