something about the payment; I use the STN in a commercial company and some of our customers use STN too. They like to pay for the product, but the paymentprocedure is not easy when you dont have a creditcard. We solved the problem by sending Cash $$ in an evelope to software superstore, but we cant tell our cutormers they have to get cash, exchange it to Dollars and sned it to america.
So i would apreciate an bank account where we can transfer the licence costs.

Onderwerp: RE: [STN] The floppy thing ...
Ok, I understand -- a floppy is not required. I agree, I've long since
moved to a HD for my own machines. However, the really nice thing about
floppies are:
1) They're easy to work with both from Linux and Windows
2) They are soooooo cheap. Yes, hds are cheap to, but floppies are
essentially free.
3) If you use a floppy, there is no chance that you'll accidently write to
the wrong hard drive during install and blow away your windows system. This
is a real concern that the floppy-only distribution neatly side steps.
4) Installation is very easy. Install on a windows system, build a floppy,
move the floppy to your target and reboot. With a hd based system, we'd
have to either move the hd into the windows system (yuck), or build a floppy
that acts as a bridge and moves files from the windows system. Again we
have a floppy.
All that being said, I'm willing to move to a HD based system, but I'm just
really worried about how the install will go. Also, as I've mentioned
before, the market for STN is pretty much gone -- so whatever comes out of
this will be open source (although I'll still accept payments for it :)
So, here's the challange:
What is the foolproof method of building system T from a windows programm
running on system B? We can assume that both B and T are connected to the
network, but T is not running any operating system already. Ideas anyone?
Regards,
John
