I've heard that proteolytic enzymes like Serrapeptase and Nattokinase can protect against metastasis of cancer tumors by cleaning up blood clots of fibrin in the body that act as sites for growth of metastases. They also help remove fibrin from the cell membrane of cancer cells that is used to cloak the cancer cell from the immune system and prevent it's destruction. Is this contradictory with the collagenases causing spread of cancer cells? I guess there are lots of kinds of enzymes but there seems to be overlap in that collagen is a type of protein? Or maybe they don't work on collagen?

Some alternative cancer treatments have involved using enzymes. Anyone have any clarification of the differences between these enzymes? BTW, in googling these I found a lot of cool uses and benefits for Nattokinase, Serrapeptase, and other enzymes.
