The meteor thing was an analogy - the main point being a potential disaster was
averted but "the powers that be" do not seem to be concerned and it did not
make mainstream news. However, they seem to be VERY concerned about the Swine
Flu (and the main stream news is making much ado about nothing).

Do you see the discrepancy?

I don't think you are following what I am saying - or read what is on the
website I linked to.

This was NOT a live virus vaccine. (BTW Flu Vaccines are always killed virus
except in the case of the nasal spray Flu Vaccine).

This was an ACCIDENT of MONUMENTAL proportions. Let's completely eliminate the
consideration that the H5N1 Avian Flu might have been released into the world's
population via contaminated vaccines, we STILL have the issue of a laboratory
that is CURRENTLY making childhood vaccines, and will possibly make a future
Swine Flu vaccine that FAILED to follow Biosafety Level 3 protocols! This is
unconscionable!

HOW IS THIS NOT NEWS - but the Swine Flu is news???

BTW, I too requested the killed Polio vaccine for my oldest son back when they
were still giving the live vaccine - the Pediatrician was very upset with me,
but she gave it. I immunized my two oldest, but did not immunize my youngest -
guess which child has the strongest immune system?

Meteors hit the earth on a regular basis. Maybe at very long intervals,
but geologically speaking, it happens ALL the time. I bet they have
some ideas of what to do if it happens right now, too.

It is always a matter of when, not if. They makes live virus vacs all
the time, and they have killed lots of people for years. And someone's
point of the bird flu being very virulent but not as easily
transmissible since it kills it's host quickly is a good one.

I have no idea why they still insist on making live virus vacs- they
have been shown as dangerous for years and years, and it has been
controversial for longer than I have been alive; at least back to the
Salk/Sabin controversy (Salk was for killed vacs, Sabin for live vacs),
and probably much longer. It is stupid! I ask. I refuse them. I let
everybody there know that I will not pay for a live virus vac. In the
past, I have had the doctor order killed vacs for me, without mercury.
It is easy for them to do. They just have to make a call. They don't
like it, but too bad. IMHO, it all comes down to money, and if people
refuse to pay for them, they will eventually get the message.

  Best Wishes,
