Not all bad breath comes from the stomach. It can come from infected lungs, throat, and gums too.

Bad breath comes from the stomach. You can brush till the cows come home and not defeat that. In Ayurveda that is a diagnostic tool. Sour bad breath = excess of Pitta. An excessive sweet smell = an excess of Kapha.

The tongue is the easiest way to diagnose a lot of issues.

Gently scraping the tongue first thing in the morning is a great idea.

Hi Alan,
So doesn't your breath get a little funky? Mine does, and I have to be careful not to breathe on people while talking.

BTW brushing the teeth makes it worse because you are scraping off the protective layers despite what all the advertising nonsense spews out.
