I remember reading somewhere that parasites can disrupt the brain/blood
barrier and thus allow other substances to cross. tapeworms in particular
like the nervous system.

And they has found aluminum in the brain as well in alheimizers patients,
although
it is not suppose to cross the barrier either. That doesn't mean anything except
that the barrier was breached.
