I am not current with Urban Legends, but in the past, I have had the
suspicion that they are a mixed bag; some good information and some
non-well-motivated debunking. 

It is a well known technique to kill dogs by setting out a bowl of auto
anti-freeze.  It tastes sweet.  I think the same stuff is used in small
amounts in ice cream.

It was not antifreeze but if you look at the MSDS for the ingredients in
Swiffers it clearly states "CNS Depression". So not it is not an urban
legend. Someone just got confused between ethylene glycol and Propylene
Glycoly n-methylether. The latter is a CNS depressant and not recommended
for inhalation (builds up in air tight housing don cha know) or for skin
contact and subsequent ingestion.

P&G spin doctors attempted to disarm this report but failed in the eyes of
those who know how to read the required disclosures on the MSDS.
