Hi Marshal,

I haven't used them in pill form although from the ones I have
encountered in health stores they all seem to be in a gelatin capsule. I
do use liquid form acidophilus 50 billion live organisms. This is much
more potent then capsule form or any yogurt one might buy. Product I use
is Bio-k plus.
It is very reputable and I have noticed a difference using it.

I just noticed that the acidopholas pills I have are gelatin. Gelatin
dissolves in the stomach, where I would expect the culture to get
killed. It seems to me that any probiotics should use a hard shell
coating that does not break down in the stomach so the live culture can
make it to the intestines.

Are all probiotics using gelatin capsules? This somehow does not make
sense to me.

Marshall
