I can't figure out where the vitamin/supplement industry has been on
this--aren't they the ones after all who are going to lose huge sums
of money, the ones with the means to hire lobbyists and really fight
this? I have yet to see a petition or any sign of alarm-sounding in
any health food store I frequent and when I've asked the only
response has been 'gee I don't know, I'll check with our
suppliers'--as if certain they'd be the ones to get effectively
organized when convinced their pocketbooks are truly threatened.
Its just amazing to think that this is where the feds really need to
be spending time and our money--busting manufacturers and users of
naturopathic medicine.
