True, Phil and if it works for you why are you saying you're confused (even in jest)?    I'm confused about your question. Hehe.   The Course (even though you haven't read it) teaches that an idea leaves not its source so if you're confused about anything including someone else's question you are keeping confusion real in your own mind. He he.   Not jesting about my confusion, nor am I being purposely contentious. There are a lot of things that work for me but can't I still be confused about what others are telling me?   You have all the freedom in the universe to be confused but that confusion is a block on your awakening (and that's ok too). <smile>   If I were prepared to dismiss it entirely, I wouldn't be bothering to discuss it.   And your discussing it keeps it real and alive. Don't worry we're all caught up in mental gymnastics (including myself for keeping the idea real).   And you're saying you're still a seeker and not enlightened.   Are you suggesting that telling myself I'm enlightened will make it so?   No but telling yourself that you're a seeker perpetuates the dangling carrot just out of our reach effect.   The Course is about collapsing time and living in True Perception or the Kingdom of God NOW. We are not LIVING until we wake up. We are just existing (especially when we wake up and see the difference).   That's fine with me. BTW, have not read the course.   Regarding ecstatic experiences, Ramana Maharshi agreed with alterlight:  "Be as you are.  If something can be given it can be taken away". This is not what Kalki is doing, giving ecstatic experiences.  He's removing the veils to the permanent Reality that is already there.  And some can do it on there own....1 in a million, like Ramana...so if some like alterlight feel what they're doing is working for them, they're not going to listen to any of this....they are people with full cups.  And God bless them if they're making it on their own.  I, like Freddy and you, didn't like the odds.   So, we're back to saying that dream characters can muck around with the dream and change the realization of the dreamer. Okay, now I'm afraid to go to sleep. Philmakingsomemorecoffee   But dream characters are created by you, me and each Son of God. We can't see our unconscious mind but in the reflection. The dream is an outpicturing of our mind. If we don't like the picture, we have to change our mind.
