I am using the latest firmware:
SpectraLink 8000 series SIP software - WTB1xx and WTE 1xx (131.028)
I wish I could make it that far. It is the most consistently inconsistent thing I have ever seen. Maybe it is easy to use in their proprietary setup, but we are making no progress at all with it. A sample of a working config would be greatly appreciated. It has 2 files. One is call all_users, and the other is specific to each phone. They claim it is compatible with Pingtel and have a a sample Pingtel config file. Here is a (Canadian, maybe who you were referring to?) that is/was struggling with 4.2.X and Spectralink as well.

I have a WIP phone about here too, i had issues with battery life, but it worked for basic features.

I have a contact in germany who uses one of the Spectralink's I think, maybe one in Canada too.

What version firmware is on the Spectralink?

I recall a weird issue happening with a canadian ITSP where you would call the user DID and as soon as you answered on the handset, the phone would reboot... Once they started using a different ITSP the problem went away... really weird.

I think I'm about to give in and order one of these.
I cannot make any progress with the Spectralink 8020.
I thought I made a little progress on Friday when I at least got
an extension assigned to it. Today, (after making no changes) it
is stuck on initializing SIP again.
This thing is driving me nuts.

     Hi!

We recently installed 2 Cisco/Linksys Small Business WIP310 for a
    similar customer need
They are running on a WiFi WPA2 network using D-Link DWL-3200AP
    access points.
It is running just fine for 2 weeks now.
Affordable, good looking, easy to set-up, it's woth a try.

I have only used the excellent Polycom Soundpoint provisioning

    Subject:[sipx-users] Cordless phone question... again

It has been asked a few times, but most of the recent
    questions seem
to be related to trouble with a particular kind.
Can anyone tell me about a cordless/wireless setup that has
    worked well?
It is a new system that will be 4.2.1. Handsets will be Polycom
    450 and
    550. The Polycoms will use parking extensively, but that isn't
    a huge
requirement on the cordless, as long as it can have calls
    transferred to
it. The plan is for1 cordless phone only. Their is a Cisco
    Aironet WAP
at the site, and we would definitely be interested in using
    that if it
is recommended. Phones are on their own VLAN and we could
    easily do a
dedicated SSID for a cordless phone as well.
I would definitely prefer not using an ATA and analog phone.
I'm not looking to roll out anything in mass. Just 1 or 2 here
    and there
    at different sites.
Anyone have a recommendation for a good cordless/wireless setup?

    Thanks as always,
    Matthew
