I have had porn downloaded onto my own PC here at work (no
not porn, PORN!). After suspecting that my PC got used at
nights, possibly by Security, I used to view the Windows
Netscape / Explorer caches every so often using xv in Linux.
It nicely makes thumbnails of all the pics in the browser
cache. One morning there were many surprises. Date/time of
files was 2.00pm at night - before the cleaners arrive. I
reported it to the Sys Admin and Security as I didn't want
to get blamed if the downloading was monitored or found out
by Admin. Security quickly sent over a young man who was
very eager to check it out.
My point is this; just because stuff is on someones PC does
not mean it was them. Anyone in a place where their PC is
accessable needs to occasionally check their browser cache
and know what is on their machine.
