No packet filter, Yes, I can ping the Ab from VPN connection, my connection is via ethernet on my network, across the Internet to a VPN server, to my wired network on that side, then out to the wireless network at the end. The radios are all on the same subnet. All radios are managed via SNMP.
If you can ping the aB through the VPN then all routing should be set up correctly.
If you can manage the COR/RORs with SNMP, then no filter is in place.
Weird, it should work.
Do you have Ethereal or a similar packet sniffer available? Run a packet dump on the VPN interface on your computer and on a computer connected via a hub to the eth interface of the COR while trying to connect to the aB with simpleMonitor.
