Actually I mainly use an Airaya link for the speed... they net out at about
45Mbps after overhead but I need a backup in place should something go
wrong. These are ideal for backup especially for the price.

So if its only marginally faster to go with a AP to AP setup, I'm cool with
what I have.
It is only slightly faster, right?

Really, use the max setting. It sounds like you have it working
successfully - congrats.

If it is doing what you need, you aren't missing anything you'd get with
two APTs (although wireless bridges are marginally faster than a
client/Access point setup).
