Raffaele,
There are so many posts, and some maybe I miss read. But, isn't there a "plan" to build a super rigging tool (with FE) so that you could continue to work with SI? Isn't the "plan" to wait and see what's coming up before swapping already to Maya ?
Sorry, if I sum up a too simple way.

Can I ask what you mean with that?
As a character TD and developer in the film industry what do you suggest I "decide" to subvert the current situation? You recommend I internally advise my employer they immediately switch to one of the other four DCC apps out there with complete lack of character/animation tools that has seen any trench time?

There's nothing to be afraid or not afraid of, there are market forces and the need to produce contents which require apps such as Soft and Maya to be used. Some people have an alternative, some don't.

I think people are afraid, and this is a big trouble. Is not only
about one software; because maybe they'll do the same thing in the

All people around the world needs to take measures to prevent a
company force them to do what they want.

As customers, we decide. Don't be afraid.
