hello Anthony, regarding the releases numbers: 7/03 - means July/2003, 10/01 is October/2001 - that's why 7/03 is newer than 10/01 i found packages list for Solaris 2/02 that has the PPP 4.0 packages - i assume the 7/03 will have it also since it is a newer release. i cant tell the name of the package if you do a custom installation - the package list shows that PPP4.0 is installed if you select "Entire" distribution or "Entire +OEM" here is the link: http://www.sun.com/bigadmin/content/packagelist/s8u7PkgList/p2.html#SPARCPACKAGES-1
