Stoyan,
Yes it says the packages are indeed in 02/02 ! So I will double check my 7/03 release CD at home once again.
Looking hopeful :-)
Thanks again
Can I just ask one more question?
In my attempt to upgrade to this version using web start I sized ,file systemed and mounted another partition /dev/dsk/c0t0d0s6 size 3.4GB in case the installation software needed a backup device but ...it failed saying that it checked /dev/dsk/c0t0d0s0 saying that it needed 6.4 GB and I only had 6.2GB I thought /dev/dsk/c0t0d0s6 would have been big enough! Anyway, where did it get the idea it needs 6 GB for installation surely the 7/03 release as not doubled in size?!
Does this mean I have to icrease the size of /dev/dsk/c0t0d0s0 and is this possible without having to backup and restore?
Once again thanks
mit freundlichen Grssen
anthony

hello Anthony,
regarding the releases numbers: 7/03 - means July/2003, 10/01 is
October/2001 - that's why 7/03 is newer than 10/01
i found packages list for Solaris 2/02 that has the PPP 4.0 packages - i
assume the 7/03 will have it also since it is a newer release.
i cant tell the name of the package if you do a custom installation -
the package list shows that PPP4.0 is installed if you select "Entire"
distribution or "Entire +OEM"
here is the link:
