Just wrote a letter today to an architect who's asking our expertise and
then ignoring it. Typical situation, the U certificate we got showed the UG
was installed to YES standard, and somehow they flushed when the city tap
wasn't done yet. Architect argued the water co was ok with a 150 psi test.
We just wrote that they could accept anything they want, but if our system
fails in a fire you will see our counsel introduce this letter as evidence
that we believe the flushing and testing was improper and we should be held
harmless, cc to my atty, have a nice day- we start from floor flange.

Hopefully we'll never need it, but if we do, it will be P R I C E L E S S.

Oh, if I only had a nickel for every blank U certificate we've given a site
guy....

Subject: RE: What does not fully functional mean?

We often have difficulty getting the underground velocity flush
certificate on projects and that results in completed systems remaining
off.
