Dear Friends,
Thanks to all who cooperated in this issue, special thanks to Richard,
Ronald, Stewart, Craig & Jim.
  NPFA-20 answered me as follow:

1- Want to be economical and and I don't afford to buy reserve pumps: (is
it allowed as per NFPA not to have reserve pumps)?

1-1: I have a very reliable power source: I will buy only an electric
driven main fire pump 3500GPM at 102 psi working at about 112% of rated
capasity ( I won't buy diesel, because I have a reliable power source and also
I want to be economical)
NFPA Answer: For installations with a reliable power source, a single fire
pump is permitted by Section 9.3.2.

1-2:I doN't have a reliable power source: I will buy only a diesel fire
pump 3500GPM at 102 psi to work as my main fire pump.

NFPA Answer: A diesel fire pump is permitted to be installed per Chapter 11.

2- have too much money, I will buy reserve pumps:

2-1: I will buy a main electric pump 3500GPM at 102 psi and a diesel pump
3500GPM at 102 psi and my eletric fire pump would be main pump and diesel pump
would be reserve pump which will work at power failure conditions.
NFPA Answer: For installations where the power supply is not reliable, a
diesel pump is permitted to serve as a backup source for an electric pump per
Section 9.3.3.

2-2: is above arrangement as per NFPA? or I should arrange diesel pump as
main?

NFPA Answer: A diesel pump does not require backup.

3- Want to be very very economical: I don't want to buy expensive pumps
like Pattreson, Peerless, ... who are producing big pumps, I want to be very
economical and buy the cheap pumps from my supplier who can't make a 3500 GPM
pump, so I have to split the pumps and buy two sets of 1500 GPM at 129 psi
working at about 130% or rated capacity.

NFPA Answer: Paralleling pumps is ok only when a single pump cannot
achieve the discharge demand.

  Here I attache referred sections:
Section 9.3.2: Other Sources. Except for an arrangement described in 9.3.3,
at least one alternate source of power shall be provided where the normal
source is not reliable.
Section 9.3.3: An alternate source of power is not required where a back-up
engine driven or back-up steam turbine driven fire pump is installed in
accordance with this standard.
