Unless the "Mob" was behind it, or there's some unidentifiable body in
the midst, sad to say, there's just not enough drama to make the
headlines.

But we're glad to hear the news regardless.

Subject: Headline: More Fires in Las Vegas

Ok, maybe I overstated the headline. But the fact is that yesterday
(Monday) we had two more fires in Las Vegas. Both Saved by Sprinklers!
Where is the national/world news reporting on these? Yes we issued an
official news release for both. As we all know, these stories will be
burried on the back page. Details below.

One Queensrige Place: (Twin Tower High-Rise Condo Complex) Fire in
pump/chemical room for swimming pool/spa. Cardboard boxes caught fire.
Careless smoking believed to be the cause. Automatic sprinkler in the
room confined and extinguished fire. Smoke held to the room.

Santa Fe Hotel/Casino - Attached Multiplex Movie Theater:
Fire in theatre, smoke inside when firefighters arrived, fire put out by
automatic sprinkler. Firefighters made sure fire was out and help with
clean up. Cause under investigation, but it appears suspicious.
Investigators are not sure if it was intentional or malicious. Theatres
were evacuated when firefighters arrived. No injuries. Automatic
sprinkles kept damage to a minimum, and from spreading. Was second save
by automatic sprinklers in the city today, the other a fire in the One
Queensridge hi-rise condo building this morning.

Regards,
MK
