Just a follow up on the heads screwed into the reducers before gluing the reducer to the cpvc drop nipple. I'm happy to report that after the FM sent a letter to the owner, and the owner contacted Big G, they responded within one week and replaced all of the heads in both buildings. Unfortunately, on another job site their crew was still installing cpvc drop nipples with the heads in the reducers. They said there was no way the glue would get into the head with the drops being 3'-0" long. WRONG!!!
Blazemaster Installation Guide "Warning: Sprinkler heads shall be installed only after ALL the CPVC pipe and fittings, including the sprinkler head adapters, are solvent welded to the piping and allowed to cure for a MINIMUM of 30 Minutes. ------" I hope they learn something when they have to pull all of those heads and check for glue. _______________________________________________ Sprinklerforum mailing list [email protected] http://lists.firesprinkler.org/mailman/listinfo/sprinklerforum To Unsubscribe, send an email to:[EMAIL PROTECTED] (Put the word unsubscribe in the subject field)
