This requirement is only for 2007, am I correct? I've 2 other questions.
(1) Tyco cut sheets state this head is used for light hazard. If the area is OH what happens? Sometimes a crawlspace is used as a mechanical room, with tanks, pumps and other mechanical equipment. (2) Sometimes a crawlspace is non-combustible with drywall attached to bottom of wood joists or TJI's, but is required to be sprinklered due to storage/mech. equipment etc. I would think 8.15.1.6 (07) should apply, but is the wording clear? In this case, I think the 36" clearance is from floor to ceiling (bottom of drywall) of the crawlspace. Right?
