It's only in 2007. If the manufacture on list them as for use in light
hazard occupancy then by the wording of 8.15.1.6 doesn't apply because you
have an ordinary hazard situation. Don't you think?

This requirement is only for 2007, am I correct?

I've 2 other questions.

(1) Tyco cut sheets state this head is used for light hazard. If the area is
OH what happens? Sometimes a crawlspace is used as a mechanical room, with
tanks, pumps and other mechanical equipment.

(2) Sometimes a crawlspace is non-combustible with drywall attached to
bottom of wood joists or TJI's, but is required to be sprinklered due to
storage/mech. equipment etc. I would think 8.15.1.6 (07) should apply, but
is the wording clear? In this case, I think the 36" clearance is from floor
to ceiling (bottom of drywall) of the crawlspace. Right?

Will someone please direct me to the section of NFPA13 2007 that covers the
circumstances requiring Tyco's CC sprinklers? I give up.
